En un mundo con tendencia a lo global y digital, lleno de imágenes que lo atraviesan, este texto propone analizarlas con una mirada introspectiva. Bajo esta premisa, la siguiente tesis aborda la arquitectura española en relación a un paisaje cultural: una constelación formada por cinco figuras de la creación y siete imágenes arquetípicas, primordiales, que permiten descubrir los fascinantes procesos individuales y colectivos que componen el mundo.
Por medio de una metodología transversal, que analiza la imagen a partir de sus propiedades simbólicas, fantasmales y fenomenológicas, este estudio comparado busca y rastrea huertos, bosques, escenas de agua dulce, mares, destellos de luz, castillos y ciudades en la obra de Santa Teresa de Jesús, María Zambrano, Antonio López, Pedro Almodóvar y Alberto Campo Baeza. De la misma manera, cada una de las imágenes introduce sus propios repertorios, que sacuden la investigación hacia las profundidades de la historia.
Este planteamiento, por un lado, posibilita comprender los misterios que encierra el acto creador, a la vez que se asiste a la construcción de sus diferentes paisajes. En efecto, el modo en que se usa la noción de paisaje cultural se acerca estrechamente a la de imaginario. Un imaginario, visible e invisible, material e inmaterial, que convive en cercanía al inconsciente colectivo, donde las imágenes yacen a sus anchas.
Finalmente, la investigación ofrece como resultado una exégesis del paisaje cultural español dispuesta a abrir nuevas líneas de investigación y enriquecer los estudios culturales. Ya sea en su condición real o imaginaria, exterior o interior, las imágenes arquetípicas son imágenes-idea que dejan tras de sí, como la estela de un objeto celeste en el universo, trayectos fundamentales que cruzan el espacio constatando sus múltiples dimensiones y direcciones.

In a world inclined toward the global and digital, filled with images that traverse it, this text proposes analyzing them through an introspective gaze. Under this condition, the following work addresses Spanish architecture in relation to a cultural landscape: a constellation formed by five creative figures and seven archetypal, primordial images that allow us to discover the fascinating individual and collective processes that shape the world.
Using a transversal methodology that analyzes the image based on its symbolic, ghostly, and phenomenological properties, this comparative study seeks and traces gardens, forests, scenes of water, seas, flashes of light, castles, and cities in the works of Santa Teresa de Jesús, María Zambrano, Antonio López, Pedro Almodóvar, and Alberto Campo Baeza. Likewise, each of these images introduces its own repertoires that move the investigation toward the depths of history.
This approach makes it possible to understand the mysteries in the act of creation while witnessing the construction of its various landscapes. Indeed, the way the notion of cultural landscape is closely aligned with that of the imaginary. An imaginary, both visible and invisible, material and immaterial, that coexists near the collective unconscious, where images lie at ease.
Ultimately, the research offers as a result an exegesis of the Spanish cultural landscape, aiming to open new lines of inquiry and enrich cultural studies. Whether in its real or imaginary, external or internal condition, the archetypal images are idea-images that leave behind them, like the bright trail of a celestial body in the universe, fundamental paths that cross space, confirming its dimensional and directional multiplicity.
