En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) se centrará en el análisis exhaustivo de un caso forense presentado por Digital Corpora. En el proyecto se utilizará la herramienta de código abierto Autopsy para analizar las imágenes de disco que nos proporcionan.
El proyecto consta con el análisis a fondo de tres imágenes virtuales de los discos duros de los equipos pertenecientes al caso, en ellos se encuentran distintos tipos de técnicas de ocultación de información y se aplican conocimientos de interpretación de evidencias para desarrollar una reconstrucción de los hechos. Asimismo, se intenta emular lo más fiel posible el trabajo de un analista forense real, esta tarea conlleva ser lo más profesional e imparcial e intentar formular teorías sobre el caso de manera objetiva.
Además de tocar aspectos técnicos, también se tratan aspectos teóricos como el marco legal al que se ve sujeto el caso. Siempre que tratamos del marco legal se refiere al español, ya que en otros países pueden estar sujetos a otras legislaciones y distintas penas.
Abstract:
This Final Degree Project (TFG) will focus on the exhaustive analysis of a forensic case presented by Digital Corpora. The project will use the open source tool Autopsy to analyze the disk images they provide us with.
The project consists of the in-depth analysis of three virtual images of the hard disks of the computers belonging to the case, in which different types of information hiding techniques are found and knowledge of evidence interpretation is applied to develop a reconstruction of the facts. Likewise, we try to emulate as closely as possible the work of a real forensic analyst, this task involves being as professional and impartial as possible and trying to formulate theories about the case in an objective manner.
In addition to touching on technical aspects, we also deal with theoretical aspects such as the legal framework to which the case is subject. Whenever we deal with the legal framework, we always refer to the Spanish legal framework, since other countries may be subject to other legislations and different penalties.
